Mindfulness
There is so much talk about Mindfulness these days…it’s hard not to have heard of it, but not necessarily easy to understand what it is, given there are so many different approaches and therefor so many different ways of learning about it and developing a practice.
The courses I offer here are designed to help you get the most out of the incredible benefits this practice has to offer;
reduced stress and improved sleep
increased well-being and greater appreciation of life
reduced experience of pain and increased ability to manage chronic health conditions
improved relationships and the ability to be less reactive
…to name but a few!
Whilst any kind of mindfulness practice is generally going to be beneficial, MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) is often thought of as ‘the gold standard’ in mindfulness training. It was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn who is largely credited with having bought the practice of mindfulness into the mainstream western world. MBSR is traditionally taught in an 8 week course format and it follows a particular curriculum. The scientific research claims we hear about mindfulness, of how it can change your brain chemistry, are based on this 8 week course. Teachers - like myself - who are qualified to teach MBSR will have followed a specific, in-depth training pathway. Each of the following courses are designed to enable you to access the teachings at a time that works for you and in the comfort of your own space. Please get in touch if you feel you could benefit from some additional support.
